I constantly get into arguments with ignorant redneck meatheads about Japanese VS domestic. You have to start off by explaining that you are not trying to endorse the Civic or the Camry as sports cars, you should explain however, that they are well built cars, perfectly suitable for their purpose and far superior to their domestic competition in every category. Explain that you are talking about top end Japanese cars such as the NSX, Supra, Skyline, and of course the 300ZX.
In a recent debate I got into I was obviously supporting my argument for the Z, but also using those other cars for more examples. The guy was so ignorant and narrow minded it was unbelievable. Just because they were made in Japan makes them “rice rockets” or “rice burners” or whatever? How racist and ignorant can you be? I was pleasantly surprised to find the guy complimenting the Z at the end though, (probably a product of my information). But he gave props to the Z for “being the only one of those cars that is worth mentioning”. Perhaps because “our Z’s never lived a quarter mile at a time” (hahaha), but maybe just because it is the most well respected all around. Most people don’t recognize the history of the Z though. Ignorant red necks and their stupid domestics piss me off! The Z is the best of all worlds!
You know what else pisses me off? The saying, “There’s no replacement for displacement”. Ya there is! It’s called TECHNOLOGY! For example the 2.6L RB26…!!!
K I will stop, I could go on forever but this ranting is just useless now…, thanks for hearing me out.
